Hawksley Workman

I had never seen Hawksley live before but I have been a fan for some time, I found out late that he was coming to town but a friend of mine and I still managed to get tickets (top shelf far back). I go to quite a few concerts in town and I have to say that this was definately one of the best, a natural performer as I'm sure you are all aware. I wouldn't miss his show again if ever his travels bring him this way. I also happen to have floor tickets to the Foo Fighters this friday, all I have to say is Mr. Grohl you have some work to do to come close to the performance I saw tonight.

that show was also my first time seeing hawksley live - i've wanted to so badly but the last few times he was here i was always out of town or something.  i agree that he is an amazing performer - i think it was probably the best show i've seen (apart from the weird popping sounds - what was that about?).  after this show i went out and bought the live in lille dvd and have been listening to him non-stop ever since.

I've seen Hawksley a few times live now, every time he impresses me more. I'm a huge fan, so I got tickets in the presale, and was lucky to end up with awesome seats...Hawksley was absolutely astounding. He charmed the entire Winspear audience (which I think he said was the biggest venue he played on this tour). He had us laughing the whole night, and even handled those odd tech glitches with grace and humour. Plus he won our hearts even more with his compliments towards our folk fest :DHawk, come to Edmonton more often!
