Has anyone heard of this new Amazon thing the Kindle?

It seems kinda silly to me to pay $400.00 for something to read books on. I read a lot and I'm sure if I bought all the books I read it would amount to well over $400.00 in a year! But come on WOULD YOU GIVE ME A BREAK? Has anyone ever heard of a library? It's free and if you can't get your book back on time with most librarys you can extend your loan time online! I don't see how it can be justified. I supose it's smaller but there's batteries and wires to worry about.

The Amazon.com page states "Includes free wireless access to the planet's most exhaustive and up-to-date encyclopedia—Wikipedia.org". It's pretty cool that there's no monthly fees and such but Wikipedia isn't exactly a viable encyclopedia and is often wrong or jaded.

Would anyone here buy one of these?

Nah, I wouldn't buy it either....Also never heard of it.

I do go to Chapters though, 'cause I like to keep my books, if they're good, but the library's also good when you're low on cash!!!
