Hello everyone,
I have been a Hawksley fan ever since I first saw him on the Vicky Gabereau show wearing a feather boa and performing "Jealous of Your Cigarette".
I finally got to see him on March 9th, 2008, and it was one of the happiest days of my life. I've seen Radiohead, the White Stripes and the Red Hot Chili Peppers live, to name a few, and personally feel that the Hawksley gig at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto was the best concert I've ever attended. It marked the first day of my new life, after some life struggles, and I've been inspired by this to take drumming lessons, even though I've never played an instrument in my 38 years on this planet (and am a girl).
First goal; the drumming on "Striptease"...working up to the awesome solo on "What would you say to me, Lord". Maybe I'll start off with a few Meg White licks. A lofty goal, but you have to aim high!!!
